Gogontlejang Phaladi: Botswana

Phaladi has worked for various media outlets and UNICEF as a radio presenter and communication intern, she is currently a Content contributor – Genderlinks (Southern Africa) online newsfeed. As a young Gender Champion, she writes articles addressing issues of gender, HIV and AIDS, poverty and young people in the Southern Africa region. – She is an Education Anchor for the national CONDOMIZE! Campaign run by UNFPA Botswana and the Ministry of Health of Botswanashe is also part of Protect the Goal National Taksforce and I am responsible for community mobilization, youth participation, media involvement and National visibility of this campaign. I am responsible for a group of 8 young people who are facilitators for the above mentioned campaign in Botswana.

At community level is the founder and Executive Director of a non profit making charitable foundation called the GogontlejangPhaladi Pillar of Hope Project (GPPHP),Patron of the Young Women’s Network African Youth Advocacy Network- Botswana member, Patron of the Botswana Youth Water Action Team

(BYWAT), -Patron of the Bokaa West Lands Farmers Committee (BWLF) , Member- UNFPA AfriYAN and UNFPA Botswana CONDOMIZE! Campaign Anchor
